BMW 318iS, 1993, Restoration [Pt.1] – A Labour of Love | YS Khong Driving

This is the story of my BMW 318iS. I first saw the car in 2001: it belonged to a friend who had brought it back from England. It was already 8 years old at that time.

Now, 19 years after 2001, the car is finally in my possession, but it had been sitting idle for six whole years. The tyres were all flat, and I busted my portable air pump trying to pump them up.

We got it on a car carrier and sent it to Bear Motor Work, another friend’s shop, to do the body work.

It’s going to be a mammoth task, and we don’t really know where it will end, but in my mind, I see a pristine condition E36 Coupe that will be reborn out of this adventure. Stay tuned for more to come.
