Honda FD2R – On Slightly Wet Road, Slight Drizzle, & Semi-slicks up Genting / YS Khong Driving

The appointment was already made. When I woke up at 5.00 am, it was storming outside, but nevertheless, Samuel turned up in his Honda Civic FD2R at 7.00 am. We decided to take a chance, that maybe it wouldn’t be raining over at Gombak and Genting Sempah, so with hopeful intentions, we drove through a light drizzle and set up our cameras at our regular stopover location.
We were ready to start, but there was still a drizzle, and on Semi-slicks, it wasn’t that good an idea to go. Still, it was an opportunity not to be wasted, and rather than re-schedule, we decided to go the additional 17 kilometres in hopes that it would dry out.

It did, as we left the push-off point, but as we neared the actual climb, there was just a hint of a drizzle – the road looked like it was okay, and so we decided to try it anyway.

Little droplets came at us as we were halfway up, and so we went a little cautiously. The 2-Way LSD was quite a handful but other than that, we managed.
