DENZA Malaysia Launches the New DENZA B8 as Its First-EverDual Mode Off-Road (DMO) Super Hybrid SUV in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May 2026 – has officially introduced the new DENZA B8, marking the brand’s first-ever Dual Mode Off-Road (DMO) Super Hybrid SUV launch in Malaysia. The new luxury SUV is priced from RM458,800 for the Dynamic variant, while the Premium variant is priced at RM518,800.

Positioned as a premium off-road capable SUV, the DENZA B8 combines electrified performance, intelligent engineering, and luxury comfort into one sophisticated package. The model is built around three key pillars namely the DMO Super Hybrid Platform, the DiSUS-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System, and a refined luxury cabin experience, reflecting DENZA’s latest approach towards intelligent luxury mobility.

Jacob Ma, Managing Director of , described the launch as an important milestone for the brand in Malaysia, as it introduces DENZA’s first DMO Super Hybrid technology to local customers. He added that the company aims to expand beyond pure EV offerings by introducing more diversified new energy mobility solutions tailored to Malaysian driving needs.

At the heart of the DENZA B8 is a DMO Super Hybrid powertrain that pairs a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with dual electric motors and BYD Blade Battery technology. The intelligent four-wheel-drive setup produces a combined output of 450kW and 760Nm of torque, delivering strong acceleration, precise power distribution, and enhanced traction across both urban roads and off-road terrain.

Power comes from a 36.8kWh BYD Blade Battery capable of delivering up to 115km of pure electric driving range based on the NEDC cycle. Together with a 91-litre fuel tank, the DENZA B8 offers a claimed combined range of up to 1,040km, making it suitable for both daily commuting and long-distance journeys. The system also seamlessly switches between Pure EV, HEV Series, and Parallel driving modes depending on real-time driving conditions.

Charging capabilities include up to 120kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 16 minutes. The SUV also supports 11kW AC charging and features a 6.6kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for powering external electrical devices.

Enhancing its off-road capability is the DiSUS-P Intelligent Hydraulic Body Control System, which improves ride comfort, stability, and adaptability across varying terrains. The system allows up to 140mm of ride height adjustment while enabling a maximum water wading depth of 890mm. Approach and departure angles are rated at 34 degrees and 35 degrees respectively, further strengthening the SUV’s off-road confidence. Riding on 275/55R20 tyres, the DENZA B8 balances rugged capability with composed on-road comfort.

Design-wise, the DENZA B8 adopts a bold “Starship Mecha” styling language featuring distinctive LED daytime running lights, Energy Thruster-inspired tail lamps, and a muscular silhouette that reinforces its commanding road presence.

Inside, the cabin focuses on luxury, spaciousness, and intelligent functionality. The Premium variant is offered as a six-seater featuring second-row captain seats complete with ottomans, ventilation, and massage functions, while the Dynamic variant comes in a seven-seater layout with electrically reclining and ventilated second-row bench seats. Both variants support fully electric folding and adjustment for the second and third rows, allowing flexible cargo and seating configurations. Boot capacity ranges from 147 litres up to 920 litres in the seven-seater version, while the six-seater variant offers up to 902 litres of storage space.

Further elevating the in-cabin experience is a Devialet® 18-speaker premium audio system fitted as standard across the lineup, delivering an immersive sound experience for long-distance journeys. Customers can also personalise their DENZA B8 with five exterior colours including Alpine White, Dawn Gold, Eclipse Black, Emerald Green, and Nebula Silver, paired with either Onyx Black or Jasper Brown interior themes.

The DENZA B8 ownership package includes a six-year or 150,000km vehicle warranty, six years of complimentary scheduled maintenance worth RM10,000, an eight-year or 160,000km high-voltage battery warranty, and an eight-year or 160,000km drive unit warranty. Buyers will also receive a complimentary V2L adapter worth RM700.

The DENZA B8 will make its first public appearance in Malaysia from 22 to 24 May 2026 at several locations including Bangsar Shopping Centre, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, as well as DENZA showrooms in Balakong, Glenmarie, KLCC, and Penang.
