JANDA BAIK, 21 May 2026 – continued its push for lifestyle-focused electric mobility experiences with the return of “The Real e.MAS Drive”, a women-led EV drive programme held in conjunction with Women’s Health Month. Carrying the theme “Zoom to Bloom”, the event combined scenic driving activities, wellness sessions, and creative workshops to highlight how EV ownership can seamlessly fit into everyday lifestyles.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, this year’s programme gave participants the opportunity to experience both the Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV. The drive focused on showcasing daily usability, refined driving comfort, and convenient charging capabilities, including a live fast-charging demonstration that emphasised how EV charging can easily integrate into urban routines.
According to Pn. Salawati Binti Mohd Yusoff, Chief Branding Officer of PRO-NET, the return of The Real e.MAS Drive reflects the growing interest among Malaysian women towards practical and accessible electric mobility solutions. She explained that the “Zoom to Bloom” concept was designed not only to showcase the brand’s vehicles, but also to encourage women to prioritise self-care, rest, and overall well-being.

The journey began at the Proton Centre of Excellence (COE), where participants embarked on a scenic drive featuring curated checkpoints designed to replicate real-world EV usage in a relaxed setting. Upon arriving at Sentosa Janda Baik, attendees participated in a floral arrangement workshop inspired by modern ikebana techniques, blending creativity and mindfulness in line with the Women’s Health Month theme.
Throughout the event, the Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV highlighted PRO-NET’s approach of positioning EVs as attainable mobility solutions rather than premium-exclusive products. Both models emphasise low running costs, intelligent energy management systems, and user-friendly technologies tailored for first-time EV owners and family-oriented drivers.
Participants were also introduced to the newly launched Proton e.MAS 5 in its new Jade Green finish. The colour attracted strong attention among attendees thanks to its youthful and lifestyle-inspired appearance, drawing comparisons to the growing “matcha-inspired” aesthetic trend.
Practicality remained a major highlight throughout the drive experience. The Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV offers up to 528 litres of boot capacity, expandable to more than 2,000 litres, while the Proton e.MAS 7 delivers similarly versatile cabin and storage flexibility. This allowed participants to comfortably carry personal items, media gear, and workshop materials throughout the event.
Participant Zakkina Wati Ahmad Tarmizi described the Proton e.MAS 7 as effortless to drive, praising its quiet cabin, smooth acceleration, and relaxed driving experience that made the journey feel more lifestyle-oriented than a conventional test drive. Meanwhile, Madhuri Rasamoney highlighted the flexibility of the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV, noting how its EV mode suits daily urban commuting while the petrol engine provides reassurance for longer weekend journeys. She also pointed out the model’s accessible pricing as a strong selling point.
The Proton e.MAS 7 lineup starts from RM99,800 after a RM4,000 Welcome Benefit, offering Malaysians an accessible entry point into EV ownership alongside premium features such as a 15.4-inch 2.5K infotainment display, Level 2 ADAS, and 100kW DC fast charging that enables a 30% to 80% charge in just 20 minutes.
For those transitioning into electrified driving, the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Prime is priced from RM105,800 after the same welcome rebate. Equipped with EM-i Advanced Hybrid Technology, the model prioritises electric-first driving for urban use while retaining petrol-powered flexibility for long-distance travel. The PHEV also delivers a claimed driving range exceeding 1,000km with fuel consumption rated at just 4.3L/100km.
As the Proton e.MAS ownership community surpasses 20,000 vehicles on Malaysian roads within just over a year since the brand’s debut, PRO-NET says it will continue strengthening its nationwide dealer network, after-sales support, and charging infrastructure accessibility to further support customers throughout their EV ownership journey.
