Writer’s Take
Special editions based on motorsport wins aren’t new — but Mitsubishi’s timing here is pretty smart.
Pickups in Malaysia have become more lifestyle vehicles than work trucks, and the Triton Championship Edition taps right into that trend. Limited numbers, rally-inspired visuals, and extra equipment give buyers something that feels more special than a standard variant.
The 204PS / 470Nm Triton Athlete is the real highlight though. That engine combined with Super Select 4WD-II makes it one of the more serious off-roaders in the segment.
Only 270 units in total also means these could end up being quite collectible among Triton fans.
For buyers who want a pickup with genuine motorsport DNA — not just stickers — this one might be worth a closer look
