Petaling Jaya, 1 October 2026 – Honda Malaysia has officially opened bookings for the New Honda City Hatchback, following the launch of the New City Sedan, giving Malaysian customers the choice of two distinct body styles within the City lineup.
The updated City Hatchback brings refreshed styling, improved connectivity and additional safety technologies, while continuing to offer the practicality and versatility that have made it a popular choice in the B-segment.
Designed with young professionals and active lifestyles in mind, the New City Hatchback combines Honda’s sporty driving character with a practical cabin and versatile seating layout, making it suitable for both everyday urban driving and weekend trips.
Sharper Exterior Design
The New City Hatchback receives a more contemporary exterior design, with the front end redesigned across all variants.
The updated front features a sharper and sleeker profile, complemented by New Connected Headlights that give the hatchback a stronger road presence.
The sporty character is further enhanced by updated wheel designs, with the RS variant receiving new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear.
Overall, the updates give the City Hatchback a more distinctive appearance while retaining its compact B-segment proportions.
Updated Interior with 10-inch Display Audio
Inside, Honda has also made several changes to give the City Hatchback a more premium and dynamic cabin.
The dashboard now features a 3D Pattern Mid Garnish with Ambient Light, creating a more welcoming atmosphere when entering the vehicle.
One of the most noticeable upgrades is the new 10-inch Display Audio system, which adopts a floating-style design and provides a larger interface for easier operation and interaction.
The City Hatchback also retains Honda’s ULTRA Seats, which stands for Utility, Long, Tall and Refresh.
The system provides four different seating configurations, allowing owners to rearrange the cabin according to their needs.
This remains one of the City Hatchback’s key practical features, particularly for drivers who regularly carry different combinations of passengers and cargo.
1.5-litre e Remains the Range-Topping Powertrain
The New City Hatchback continues to offer Honda’s 1.5-litre e hybrid powertrain as its range-topping option.
Backed by Honda’s 22 years of hybrid development, the system produces:

Safety and driver assistance have also been upgraded for the New City Hatchback.
A new 360° Multi-View Camera System improves visibility around the vehicle, helping drivers manoeuvre and park in tighter spaces.

Blind Spot Information helps monitor areas that may not be easily visible to the driver, while Cross Traffic Monitoring provides additional awareness of approaching vehicles when reversing.

Honda Malaysia has also introduced a new 8-year warranty package as part of its latest ownership initiative.
Effective from 1 September 2026, customers who purchase a new Honda petrol or hybrid model can enjoy up to 8 years of warranty coverage with unlimited mileage, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The extended warranty package is intended to provide customers with additional long-term protection throughout their ownership journey.
