KUALA LUMPUR, 2 November 2026 – The future of autonomous transportation is making its way around Malaysia as Tesla brings its driverless Cybercab to the public through a nationwide tour spanning Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Penang.
Starting from 29 October 2026, the limited-time tour allows visitors to get a closer look at the Cybercab, a two-seater vehicle designed specifically for autonomous driving and Tesla’s Robotaxi service.
Unlike conventional vehicles, the Cybercab does away with traditional driving controls, including the steering wheel, pedals and side mirrors. Instead, its cabin is designed around the passenger experience, with Tesla describing the concept as a ‘mobile living room’ where occupants can relax while the vehicle handles the journey.
Tesla Cybercab Arrives in Malaysia for Nationwide Tour Starting 29 October

The Cybercab builds on technology found in Tesla’s existing vehicle lineup, including the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L.
Its features include connectivity between the vehicle and Tesla app, Full Self-Driving (FSD) hardware and capabilities, personalised driver and passenger profiles, and Over-the-Air (OTA) software updates.
These technologies form part of Tesla’s broader approach to autonomous mobility, where software, connectivity and vehicle hardware work together to deliver a different driving experience.

During the tour, visitors can also participate in guided walkthrough sessions conducted every hour. Tesla specialists will introduce the Cybercab’s exterior design, interior layout and underlying technology.
However, places for these sessions are limited, and interested visitors are encouraged to register in advance through Tesla’s official event page.
Where to See the Cybercab in Malaysia

The Cybercab tour will visit four shopping malls across three locations, giving members of the public several opportunities to experience the vehicle up close.
The tour schedule is as follows:
- Mid Valley Megamall, Kuala Lumpur: 29 October – 1 November 2026
- Sunway Square Mall, Selangor: 3 – 9 November 2026
- Pavilion Damansara Heights, Kuala Lumpur: 10 – 11 November 2026
- Gurney Plaza, Penang: 13 – 22 November 2026
Visitors who complete a guided Cybercab walkthrough or test drive an existing Tesla Model 3, Model Y or Model Y L during the tour will also receive a mystery gift, while stocks last.
Registration for the guided walkthrough sessions is available at Tesla’s official Cybercab event page.
Tesla Continues to Expand Malaysia’s Charging Network

Beyond showcasing its autonomous vehicle technology, Tesla is also continuing to develop its charging infrastructure in Malaysia.
The company currently operates 21 Supercharger sites with 92 individual Superchargers, alongside 18 Destination Charging locations equipped with 78 Wall Connectors nationwide.
Tesla plans to open another six charging sites by the end of 2026, covering Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Perak, Seremban and Penang.
The company also stated that it has helped more than 13,000 Malaysian households establish home charging facilities.
Its expanding charging network is intended to support longer-distance travel, including journeys between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, with charging access along key regional routes.

For those interested in experiencing Tesla’s current vehicle lineup, the Cybercab tour also provides an opportunity to arrange a test drive of the Model 3, Model Y and Model Y L.
