Kuala Lumpur, 8 May 2026 – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially introduced the new Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition, bringing a darker and more aggressive interpretation of its performance SUV Coupé to the Malaysian market.
Following the earlier debut of the GLA Nightfall Edition, the latest AMG special edition adds more visual drama, additional AMG-specific detailing, and a stronger emotional driving experience while retaining the core performance package of the standard GLC 43 Coupé.
Darker, Sharper, More Aggressive
The Nightfall Edition builds upon the AMG Exterior Night Package by introducing the AMG Night Package Exterior II, adding dark chrome detailing across key exterior elements including the radiator grille slats, model badging, rear star emblem, and fender accents.
Mercedes-AMG also adds a silver chrome AMG fuel filler cap with black detailing, giving the SUV Coupé a more exclusive appearance.
Combined with its sloping Coupé roofline, wide stance and aggressive AMG styling, the darker treatment gives the GLC 43 a far more sinister road presence compared to the standard version.
421HP Mild Hybrid Performance
Powering the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition is AMG’s handcrafted 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder mild hybrid powertrain developed under the brand’s “One Man, One Engine” philosophy.
The setup produces:
- 421hp
- 500Nm of torque
- Additional 14hp boost from the integrated starter generator
Performance remains seriously strong for an SUV of this size, with:
- 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds
- Top speed electronically limited to 250km/h
The 48-volt mild hybrid system also enables smoother start-stop operation, energy recuperation and coasting functions to improve efficiency.
AMG Real Performance Sound Added
One of the major highlights of the Nightfall Edition is the inclusion of AMG Real Performance Sound.
Drivers can now switch between different sound profiles ranging from subtle to more aggressive exhaust acoustics through the infotainment system, adding a more emotional and immersive experience behind the wheel.
Rear-axle steering with up to 2.5 degrees of steering angle is also included, improving agility during cornering and manoeuvrability at lower speeds.
Premium AMG Cabin
Inside, the cabin remains heavily focused on the AMG driving experience with features including:
- AMG sport seats in ARTICO leather
- AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa leather
- Carbon-fibre trim
- AMG-specific MBUX displays
- Burmester 3D surround sound system
The SUV Coupé also receives DIGITAL LIGHT adaptive headlamps and 21-inch AMG Y-spoke alloy wheels paired with silver-painted brake calipers.
Pricing In Malaysia
The locally assembled Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé Nightfall Edition is priced at:
- RM518,888 (on-the-road without insurance)
Through the Agility+ financing programme, monthly instalments start from RM6,688.
Writer’s Take
Mercedes-AMG clearly understands one thing, buyers in this segment want presence just as much as performance.
The standard GLC 43 Coupé already had the performance credentials, but the Nightfall Edition gives it the visual attitude it honestly should’ve had from the beginning. The darker chrome treatment, blacked-out styling and AMG Real Performance Sound package make the SUV feel far more special and emotionally engaging.
What’s also interesting is how Mercedes-Benz Malaysia is continuing to localise and expand its CKD AMG lineup. A few years ago, seeing locally assembled AMG models with this level of equipment would’ve been almost unthinkable.
At over RM500k it’s obviously not cheap, but against rivals in the performance SUV Coupé space, the GLC 43 Nightfall Edition does feel like one of the more complete packages, especially if you want something that blends daily usability, aggressive styling and proper AMG character without jumping into full-fat V8 territory
