Design & Presence
The exterior of the BT-50 embodies Mazda’s signature KODO: Soul of Motion design language — where every line and curve suggests movement even when the vehicle stands still. At the front you’ll find a new signature “wing” grille paired with sleeker LED headlamps and a wider-presence bumper that underscores a stronger, more capable stance.
From the side, smooth character lines flow from fender to tailgate, accentuated with muscular wheel arches and new alloy wheels that hint at off-road readiness. At the rear, a refined tailgate with LED lamps and a chrome Mazda emblem reinforce both width and stability.
Inside the cabin, the brand’s Jinba-Ittai philosophy (horse and rider as one) is applied to create a driver-centric environment. Soft-touch materials, clean symmetrical dashboard design, intuitive layout and improved seats combine to raise the comfort and premium feel — while still retaining the durability needed for a pickup’s demands.
Technology & Connectivity
The BT-50’s interior is equipped with a larger 9-inch infotainment screen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, USB-C ports, dual-zone climate control and rear air vents. Whether commuting to work or venturing off the beaten path, the connectivity and comfort have been upgraded with the human-centric approach that Mazda emphasises.
Powertrain & Capability
Under the bonnet sits a 3.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and 4-wheel-drive system. The chassis and suspension (front double wishbone, rear leaf-spring) have been tuned for stability and comfort whether loaded or unladen. On challenging surfaces, the newly introduced “Rough Terrain” mode optimises throttle and braking, modulating torque and grip via the 4H/4L and 2H drive modes to maintain momentum and minimise wheel-spin.
Safety & Driver Assistance
Safety has been given full attention: the BT-50 offers 8 SRS airbags, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, ESC, TCS, Multi-Collision Brake, Emergency Stop Signal, Hill Launch Assist, Hill Descent Control, auto door lock, ISOFIX child anchors, engine immobiliser and anti-theft system. On the active driver-assistance side, Mazda’s i-Activsense suite offers Automatic High Beam, Blind Spot Monitoring, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning System, Forward Collision Warning with Auto Emergency Braking, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

The All New Mazda BT-50 is imported as a CBU model from Thailand and is now open for booking at all authorised Mazda dealerships in Malaysia. The launch colour palette includes Concrete Grey Mica, Vermillion Latosol Mica, True Black Mica, Geode White Pearl and Sailing Blue Mica. The starting price is from RM 138,000 for West Malaysia*, and the vehicle is backed by a 5-year/100,000 km manufacturer’s warranty.
