Perodua Unveils C2 Concept at KLIMS 2026
Kuala Lumpur, 11 June 2026 – Perodua has revealed the C2 Concept at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2026, marking the second chapter of the company’s ongoing electric vehicle development journey.
Short for Chapter 2, the C2 is described as a B-segment EV prototype created by Perodua’s young Malaysian design team and serves as a vision of what future Perodua electric vehicles could become.
According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, the concept expands the company’s “Made by Malaysians for the World” philosophy while showcasing future mobility solutions designed around local customer needs.
A Fresh Design Direction for Perodua EVs
Unlike the futuristic EM-O concept that preceded it, the C2 adopts an entirely new design language aimed at reflecting the next generation of Malaysian motorists.
While Perodua has yet to reveal technical specifications, the concept features a more sophisticated and contemporary styling approach, hinting at the direction future production EV models may take.
The company says the prototype represents its designers’ vision of future electric mobility, blending modern aesthetics with advanced technology and connectivity.
AI-Assisted Features Highlight Future Mobility Vision
Technology plays a central role in the C2 Concept.
Among the features showcased are:
Key Technologies
- AI-assisted driving functions
- Real-time navigation
- Charging station locator integration
- Live traffic updates
- Enhanced anti-theft systems
- Assisted parking technology
These features are intended to make EV ownership easier and more convenient while addressing practical concerns such as charging accessibility and vehicle security.
P-Circle Ecosystem Takes Centre Stage
One of the biggest highlights of the C2 Concept is the deep integration of Perodua’s P-Circle Super App ecosystem.
The platform aims to create a seamless ownership experience by offering:
- Secure e-wallet functionality
- Genuine parts ordering
- Priority parts delivery services
- Connected vehicle functions
- Integrated mobility services
Perodua says the C2 demonstrates how future vehicles can become part of a broader digital ecosystem rather than simply serving as transportation devices.
Future Production EV Inspiration
Although the C2 remains a concept vehicle, Perodua has confirmed that it will serve as a foundation for its future EV development programme.
The company is actively gathering feedback from visitors at KLIMS 2026 to better understand consumer expectations and refine its future electric vehicle strategy.
With the Malaysian EV market becoming increasingly competitive, the C2 shows that Perodua is focusing not only on electrification but also on digital connectivity, AI integration, and ecosystem-driven ownership experiences.

Writer’s Verdict
The C2 Concept may not be Perodua’s production EV just yet, but it provides a strong indication of where the company is heading. More importantly, it shows Perodua thinking beyond batteries and range figures by focusing on connected services, AI-assisted technologies, and a digitally integrated ownership experience. If elements of the C2 make it into production, Perodua’s first mainstream EV could become one of the most significant locally-developed electric vehicles Malaysia has seen.
