Ford Ranger FX4 Debuts In Malaysia

The New Ford Ranger FX4 has made its debut in Malaysia. Ford Motor Company, along with Sime Darby Auto ConneXion (SDAC), the sole distributor for Ford in Malaysia, launched the New Ranger FX4 via Facebook and YouTube Live recently through a product walkaround session. To-date the New Ranger FX4 is the first pickup truck in the country to be launched on both platforms simultaneously.

More Truck, More Attitude

Bold and Distinctive

The New Ford Ranger FX4 wears a new look with a new design mesh grille in Ebony Black. The rugged outlook is complemented by 18-inch gloss black rims shod with All-Terrain Tyres. The striking bold ‘FX4’ decal and emblem set against its muscular exterior provides even more distinction from the other Ranger variants.

The strong FX4 identity continues inside the cabin with leather-accented seats that are embossed with the striking FX4 logos on the seatbacks. Contrasting red stitching applied to the gear selector, centre console, instrument panel, centre console, door trims, handbrake and steering wheel give the Ranger FX4 a distinguishing appearance. Furthermore, special FX4-branded carpet mats finish its interior enhancements, thus retaining the Ranger’s premium and comfortable car-like interior.

Built for the Adventurous

The Ranger FX4 is designed for customers who want to blend city living with off-the-grid adventures over tough terrain on the weekends. The Ranger FX4 features the proven Duratorq 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. This is capable of delivering 160PS and peak torque of 385Nm.

The truck is also packed with a host of smart technologies and safety features including an eight-inch touchscreen display, SYNC ® multimedia system with reversing camera, electronic shift-on-the-fly 4×4, rain-sensing wipers, the light and nimble Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), daytime running lights and headlights for better visibility. It also comes with two airbags, Limited Slip Differential, Hill Descent Control, Hill Launch Assist, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) and Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), ISOFIX child seat mounts, Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, Rollover Mitigation, Trailer Sway Control and Adaptive Load Control.
