Finally, after previewing the Hyundai Kona at the KLIMS last year, we are getting very close to the actual launch. This is the Turbo-charged Version , also FWD, but this time it has a 1.6 litre DOHC engine, tried and tested in various other sporty models in the Hyundai range. Transmission is a DCT that is shared with the Ionic, also very durable and reliable.

The Hyundai Kona belongs in the B-Segment with its 2600mm wheelbase, and will be a contender in the same playing field as the Proton X50. Both prices have not been announced, but it is unlikely that the Kona will be able to beat the X50 on price but it does have an advantage on overall power.
